Review: This third album from Kaiser Chiefs was rushed, according to the band themselves. Off with their heads takes longer to warm to than it probably took to make. One of those LP's that require repeated listening before it gives up its few and far between treasures, but it's all too evident tracks like the psychedelic opener 'Spanish Metal' wouldn't have made b-sides in the 'Employment' days. The lead single never miss a beat is probably the best song on the album.

Review: This is no 'Morning Glory' of the 11 tracks on the album, there are very few 'commercial' hits contained within, there is certainly no 'Wonderwall' here. Each band member contributes to the songwriting process with the tracks divided into six from Noel, three from Liam and one each from Andy Bell and Gem Archer. In digging out their soul, Oasis have created a diverse, challenging and brave record, their finest since 1995. It swaggers as you'd expect and excites in ways you wouldn't. 'Dig out Your Soul' is one of the finest rock 'n' roll records you'll hear in some time. After years of promise, Oasis have delivered. |

Review: A Hundred Million Suns' is the fifth studio album from Snow Patrol and it is the follow up to 2006's hugely successful 'Eyes open' which spawned international hit single 'Chasing Cars'. The Northern Ireland band sticks with producer Garret Lee and the first single to be lifted from the album is track 3 'Take Back The City'. Good album that will grow on you over time. |
