Job Title: As the Community Cohesion Strategy Officer you will work in partnership to assist with the development of the Community Safety Partnership’s Community Cohesion Strategy under the direction of the Data and Performance Manager. The team provides high quality care to patients in all settings including a district general hospital, community hospitals, a specialist palliative care inpatient unit and in the community. From January 2010 you will be required to assist in running play/creche sessions from a 40ft single deck Play Bus, which will travel around the City and County of Swansea.
The role requires enthusiasm, teamwork, excellent communication skills, flexibility, the ability to drive a transit van and the possibility of a 40ft Play bus. Staff will be invited to support sessions during the week, weekends and school holidays.
There will be no set or guaranteed hours, although the majority of the work will take place during evenings and the occasional weekends, other than that which is agreed by yourself and the team - giving consideration to any external commitments you may have.
You will need to have knowledge of the importance of play, particularly Open Access Play, and experience/qualifications of working with children of all ages and young people through play.
You will need to be flexible and have good organisation and communication skills.
