'Caught in the Crossfire' is an informative book about legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. His raise to stardom and his fluent expressive guitar style. Stevie was always quick to give praise to the Blues men who influenced him such as B.B King, Albert King, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and his older brother Jimmie Vaughan. The book also talks about the formation of Stevie’s band Double Trouble and the effort they all put in to become a successful. All in all this is a good read and tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan who played with his heart and soul. He was truely dedicated to the gutair and this book is a must for any fan. |

Robert R Mcammon is not far behind Stephen King when it comes to writing a good story. Gone South is an enjoyable read and is about a Vietnam veteran called 'Dan Lambert'. He is scared by the war and living on hard times. He has no job and is struggling to hang on to his only possession which is his truck. Then Dan Lambert accidentally kills his bank manger and is then pursued by bounty hunters. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it. If you have not read any Robert R Mcammon then you have missed a treat! |

Review: An interesting read about the greatest British boxer of (possibly) all time.
Undefeated in all of his professional fights, Calzaghe explains in detail the politics within the various boxing organizations, the opponents who deliberately priced themselves out of fighting him & the disappointments that kept him out of the public eye for too long. A personal & 'no holds barred' account of a boxer much more deserving of the hype, media & coverage that has been given to other fighters of lower credentials & credibility. |

The writing seemed a little unprofessional, but that just added to the sadness, sweetness, and all around endearing quality of the book. Love Richard, and have huge respect for his wife after seeing how she handled all the troubles, a must for any brain trauma sufferers and their families. |

Review: A great read filled with the unique brand of humor for which his TV series has made him so popular endearing characters who rejoice in, not politics or sex, but far funnier areas of life: elderly relatives and answering machines, Dads dancing at weddings, Mom’s HRT. Really funny, a nice look into his home life and family much funnier if you imagine it being read in a Bolton accent.
