Together we are Stronger In Partnership

Involving Service Users and Carers in mental health services across Merthyr Tyfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf

What is Stronger in Partnership?

The “Stronger In Partnership” group is committed to Service User and Carer Involvement in mental health services across Merthyr Tydfil and RCT.
We aim to ensure that the VOICE of Service Users and Carers is heard when new mental health services are designed and existing services are monitored and evaluated.
We believe that the input and feedback from Service Users and Carers can highlight key areas for change and lead to improved mental health services for everyone.

Who attends Stronger In Partnership?

The group consists of reps from Service User and Carer groups, local mental health organisations, Cwm Taf Local Health Board, RCT County Borough Council & Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council.
We meet every 3 months to look at the priorities for Service User and Carer involvement, gather feedback from reps about local services and to share ideas and best practice.

Would you like to become involved?

Stronger in Partnership really needs Service User and Carer reps from local groups, organisations and local areas so that your voice is properly represented.
We can offer support to any Service User who wishes to become involved, to help you feel comfortable to put forward your views. We also cover travelling expenses to and from meetings.
